Founded in 1962 by Mark M. Holeman, we have established a reputation for excellence and have created countless distinctive landscapes. Rich Blankenship is the President of Mark M. Holeman, Incorporated. He works diligently to meet his clients’ specific landscape needs with quality and efficiency. As an Indiana Accredited Horticulturalist, he has been president of the Indianapolis Landscape Association and the Indiana Nursery and Landscape Association. Rich uses his vast plant knowledge and field experience to create beautiful, long-lasting landscapes.

Trent Spence is the Vice President of Finance at Mark M. Holeman, Incorporated. He has a bachelor’s of Landscape Architecture degree from Ball State University. He has previously served as a board member of the Design Arts Society of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the President of the Contemporary Art Society of the IMA, Herron School of Art and Design board member, and President of the Ball State College of Architecture and Planning Alumni Board.

Stacy Ginley is the Office Manager at Mark M. Holeman, Incorporated. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Ball State University. She is a former committee member of the Guys and Dolls Auction Gala for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Stacy keeps our office running efficiently so that the design and construction staff can focus on exceeding our clients’ expectations.

Rob Tavis is the Nursery and Production Manager at Mark M. Holeman, Incorporated. He is a Licensed Chemical Applicator for ornamental trees and shrubs. Rob uses his 35 years of experience in the landscaping industry to produce and organize the best plants and materials for our clients’ projects. His highly organized nursery and well maintained equipment allows our installation crews to complete projects efficiently.

With over 30 years of experience designing a wide variety of landscapes, David brings a keen horticultural sense, distinctive creativity, and attention to detail to all his projects.
A graduate of the University of Illinois, he has been an active leader within the profession and community. He has served on the Board of Trustees for the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and is a past president of its Indiana Chapter. He is a past president of the Horticultural Society of Newfields (Indianapolis Museum of Art) and served as a member and chair of the Indiana State Board of Registration for Architects and Landscape Architects. David is an avid cyclist and traveler, with his worldwide journeys finding him seeking adventure, inspiration, and opportunities to aid others.
For his many service activities, he has been awarded the St. John Bosco Medal by the Indianapolis Catholic Youth Organization, been named an Honorary Member of the Indianapolis Garden Club, and in 2018 was inducted as a Fellow of ASLA.

David Gordon, FASLA
Included in Ron’s decades of experience are years spent with Indianapolis landscape legend Frits Loonsten, with whom he created many classic residential and institutional landscapes. He also ran his own firm before spending 12 years as Campus Landscape Architect for Butler University. His work there won numerous awards as it transformed the look of the campus. He was instrumental in the creation of the Butler Mall and countless other projects. Ron was educated at Purdue University and the Herron School of Art. He is a past Board member of the Indiana Chapter of ASLA. His stylish hand graphic skills bring a warmth and richness to all his drawings and presentations.
Tammy brings a wealth of wide-ranging experiences to her work, including 18 years as Landscape Architect and Urban Forester for the City of Anderson and its Parks and Recreation Department. Her work there included managing numerous park projects, designing and installing public playgrounds, and coordinating countless tree plantings and landscape installations. Tammy is a past president of the Indiana Urban Forest Council and has served on the Board of the Indiana Chapter of ASLA. She is an accomplished writer of grant applications and is a Certified Playground Safety inspector. A skilled archer, she has sserved as president and in other leadership positions with the Indiana Field Archery Association. Tammy has an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Indiana University and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Ball State University.
Jason Griffin, ASLA, PLA

Jason has over 25 years of experience in the field of landscape design. He started early on in his career working as a landscape laborer before attending Ball State University, where he received a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture. He is a licensed Landscape Architect in the State of Indiana and a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
He worked for over 21 years in an engineering firm designing parks, trails, streetscapes, and planting plans for many public projects. He has served on the Indiana Parks and Recreation Association (IPRA) Board of Directors and chair of the IPRA Natural Resources, Trails, and Greenways Committee. He has served on the Horticultural Society of Newfields (Indianapolis Museum of Art) Board of Directors.
Before coming to Mark M. Holeman Jason ran his own design firm. He brings a vast knowledge of plants, details, and design to his projects. He enjoys helping clients realize their goals and dreams.
MG Ahearn

Designer
As a 2020 graduate of Purdue University’s landscape architecture program, MG is in the early years of her career. After completing a year-long internship at Hoerr Schaudt in Chicago and one year post-graduate at Nievera Williams in Palm Beach, she’s found her niche in design build. A passion for community-based design that focuses on use of Indiana native plants has driven her career trajectory. Currently, she’s studying to earn her license and make the transition from landscape designer to landscape architect.

Eddie is the Construction Manager and Estimator at Mark M. Holeman, Incorporated. He uses his 6 years of experience in the landscape industry to ensure that our projects are properly budgeted, timely scheduled, and built for long-term success. He is a Licensed Chemical Applicator for turf grass and ornamental trees and shrubs.

Juan is bilingual with over 26 years of experience with Mark M. Holeman, Inc. Certified with drainage, natural stone walls, retaining block walls, retaining walls, and paver patios. He has many years of experience working with pruning and garden maintenance. Juan is passionate about building beautiful gardens, patios, and walls.

Manager
Ben Edington is the Maintenance Manager at Mark M. Holeman, Incorporated. He personally serves each maintenance client according to their specific landscape vision. With an extremely active management style, Ben works closely with our talented maintenance crews to deliver consistently unique results. Ben holds a bachelor’s of Horticulture degree from Purdue University. He is a Licensed Chemical Applicator for turf grass and ornamental trees and shrubs, as well as an ISA Certified Arborist.

Terry Fadely is the Integrated Pest Management Leader at Mark M. Holeman, Incorporated. He is a Licensed Chemical Applicator for ornamental trees and shrubs. Terry is dedicated to environmentally and economically sound methods to keep our clients’ landscapes looking their best.
