Mark Holeman Mourned

Company founder Mark Holeman passed away May 3, 2020, just two weeks past his 100th birthday.  A complete remembrance of his life can be found at: http://www.holemanlandscape.com/2020/05/06/mark-m-holeman-1920-2020/

 

Sadly, Carmen, his wife of over 70 years passed away December 17, 2020.  

 

Mark and Carmen were long time supporters of Newfields (Indianapolis Museum of Art).  Memorial contributions made in their names will be used to fund a tribute to them in the gardens of Newfields.

Indianapolis Garden Club Honor

At its December 2020 meeting, the Indianapolis Garden Club announced that it had named David Gorden as an Honorary Member.  This honor is given to those “who have made significant contributions to the club”.  David was recognized “as a long-time friend and mentor to the Club”, and for his “many volunteer roles, all of which are devoted to raising public awareness of the inestimable value of gardens, cultural landscapes, and the incorporation of beauty in community life”.

David Gorden on the Air

Landscape Architect David Gorden recently joined panels on two Indianapolis radio shows to discuss landscape matters.

 

On July 27, 2019 he appeared on “Hoosier History Live” on WICR FM 88.7 to talk about Indiana’s horticultural heritage. A rebroadcast
