Mark M. Holeman 1920-2020

It is with great sadness and fond remembrances, that the staff of Mark M. Holeman, Inc. mourns the death of its founder, Mark Holeman.

Mark passed away on May 3rd, just two weeks after having reached the milestone of his 100th birthday.  He lived a life filled with great beauty, professionalism, friendship, and giving.

As a landscape architect, he created elegant landscapes that provided joy and comfort for all who experienced them.

As a business owner, he was a mentor to many.  He created a legacy that continues in his absence.

As a civic leader, he generously gave of his time and resources to countless organizations and efforts.

As a friend, he was loyal and caring and the most gracious of hosts.

As a curious soul, he was an avid reader and admirer of fine wine, food, gardens, music, art and plants.

As a husband, to Carmen, his wife of over 70 years, he was part of an inseparable twosome.  You could not think of one without including the other.

Mark M. Holeman, Inc. is proud to be continuing the high standards set by Mark, in the quality of his work and relationships with his clients.  We are grateful for what he established and for having been part of a life well led.

Plans for a remembrance of his life are pending.
