Letter From The President of Mark M. Holeman, Inc.

Richard Blankenship, President

As 2014 begins, our thoughts turn to all those New Year’s resolutions we promised ourselves but somehow never really kept. We promised to get more exercise, watch our weight, eat healthier, watch less T.V., smoke less, etc, etc. But our resolutions often come with unattainable and lofty goals and set us up for failure.

I read recently that the best resolutions and personal goals are ones that can be achieved with relative ease and accomplished in a short period of time.  Reaching the goal provides one with a sense of accomplishment and success while building towards a larger, big-picture pay off.

For me, I need to try and attach any personal goals I have to activities or projects I am interested in. As you might imagine I look to the outdoors and gardening to help me with achieving these types of things.

Gardening is a great way to get out and be with nature while enhancing the outdoor environment. Starting small, the space you choose to garden shouldn’t be too large, and doesn’t have to be to experience the joy and pleasure it brings to you physically and mentally. If all you have is a patio space, many wonderful plants and vegetables can thrive in containers and help to soften the space while inviting the birds and the bees as well.  Gardening is good for the soul as it provides you with a wonderful stress release and physical outlet, while providing you with that immediate sense of accomplishment.  A win- win in my book.

Winter is the perfect time to set your goals, select your space, and get your supplies gathered so you can get out as soon as the weather allows, so you can begin achieving and enjoying your success. We are always here as a resource of information and knowledge for you to rely on throughout the season. We enjoy sharing in your success and helping you realize your dream.

With the start of this New Year, I begin my post as President of Mark M. Holeman, Inc. I am very excited to continue providing our clients with the best quality services, respect, and community outreach you have come to expect. I also look forward to the continuation of timely educational blogs and articles being produced for your benefit. We hope you find them valuable.

Although winter came on quickly, it will end sooner than you think. Don’t hesitate in getting your garden plans in place. The snow will be gone and the sun will return, and the garden will be yearning for your hands in its soil. I can already feel the achievements!

Endeavor to Persevere,

Rich Blankenship President, Mark M. Holeman, Inc.
